When Anthony first saw Sinéad he was completely taken aback. He called up her manager (she was more famous than him at the time) to ask her phone number. He didn`t want to give it, but he did gave her fax number. Anthony didn`t have a fax so he went to a friend`s house to fax her a poem. When he came back home she had already left a message on his answering machine and they went out. He was very in love with her but they never had sex - he says. Then suddenly Sinéad called him to say she was moving back to Ireland and he should never call her again. She never said why.


Anthony told the story to John Frusciante and he just couldn`t believe she actually dumped him. They sat together to write a song about it, they taped it, wrapped it up and dropped it in her mailbox. The song was titled "I Could Have Lied" and appeared on RHCP`s album Blood Sugar Sex Magik.


Sinéad never gave Anthony a reason for the break-up but she did say she was very honoured with the song and she still keeps the poem in her kitchen drawer.
