Although her name sounds as though she is French through and through, Jacqueline Bisset was actually brought up in England by her French mother. She had to study in order to learn French and continued her lessons when she dated French actor Vincent Perez in the late 1980s. The relationship lasted a few years before their long-distance separations became too much.
