Couple Profile
Georgia Carroll joined Kay Kyser`s band after Ginny Simms left the band to go solo. She bacame their lead singer and travelled with the band and was featured with them in motion pictures. Carroll and Kyser married in 1944, after which Carroll retired in 1946 from a singing career when she had her first child. The couple had three children and were married until Kyser`s death in 1985. Carroll now lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and has donated a large archieves of Kay Kyser documents and materials to the Univeristy of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which was Kyser`s alma mater.
