Fact is definitely stranger than fiction. When Lana Turner and Sean Connery were linked in 1958, one man wasn’t happy – her gangster boyfriend Johnny Stompanato. While Turner was filming ‘Another Place, Another Time’ with Connery, Stompanato stormed onto set brandishing a gun and accusing Connery of having an affair with Turner. Connery managed to wrestle the gun away, and threw him off the set. However, things took a turn for the worse when Turner’s daughter Cheryl Crane later had a violent argument with Stompanato and stabbed him to death. However, Crane was let off the hook and Turner gave a dramatic testimony and it was ruled that the killing was justified
