Ladies` man Russell Brand is playing the field after splitting from his girlfriend Laura Gallacher.

Brand, 32 - Flash Harry in the St Trinian`s remake - said at the premiere: "I don`t have a girlfriend at the moment."

Then he joked: "I was fine surrounded by all those pretty girls on set. I fancied Rupert Everett, he was gorgeous as the headmistress!"

Laura, 20, the younger sister of TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher, could not tame the bed-hopping star.

It was the second split since they fell for each other last year.

The comic`s other loves have included actresses Mischa Barton and Jodie Whittaker and model Lily Cole.
