Cowell, 49, has famously kept his enemies close, and his ex-girlfriends Sinitta and Jackie closer.

Jackie is known for the dubious honour of being a former Miss Nude UK and Page 3 girl. And she often accompanies Cowell on his winter break to Barbados.

While Cowell admits that as a boyfriend he leaves a lot to be desired, he has said of his former girlfriends: `Sinitta and Jackie are my family now. I don`t think of them as ex-girlfriends anymore. They are an extension of my life.

`It must be infuriating but I`d never change because my ex-girlfriends are so close I couldn`t imagine life without them.`

And girlfriend Terri will also clearly fall in line with the doting ex-girlfriend pack as she was seen in the audience of Saturday`s recording of X Factor, when star Britney Spears performed.

Yesterday Simon claimed the pop princess was awestruck by him when she jetted to the UK to sing her hit Womanizer on the show.

"This may be a bit egotistical. I think she was in awe of me," he said, no doubt with tongue firmly in cheek.

And clearly the music mogul has recovered from his shock at discovering his luxury car had been bugged.

The music mogul was `completely freaked out` after his security detail discovered a sophisticated tracking device magnetically attached to the undercarriage of his £140,000 Bentley Continental.
