Aaron decided at the age of 17 to try his luck in Australia.After some odd jobs (like a night club bouncer) he studied at NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Art.
His career was interrupted for two years when he voluntarily withdrew from the industry after being harrassed and eventually attacked by a stalker. He worked as a stationhand in outback NSW and studied theology while we was away from the cameras before returning to take up the role of Alex Ryan in McLeod`s Daughters for the next six years and won two silver Logie Awards (2004, 2007).

He is currently back in New Zealand playing the role of Gary Savage in "Outrageous Fortune" and he is also filming the movie "Beautiful" together with LaFemme Nikita star Peta Wilson in Adelaide, South Australia.
