I`m a great Alek Wek fan and I`ve been a from the time she came into the modelling.She became a shining example of achievement for all the dark skinned black girls who are constantly being tols that they`re somewhat less than their lighter skin counterparts.I`m a dark skinned girl and I`ve been called all sorts of names and one woul`d think that because we dark people wouldn`t notice us but we have such an impact on people it`s scary!!!People go from shock to disgust to awe when they see a dark skinned person and I just think it`s really interesting...
