Lives with famous singer Francesco Renga, winner of the 2005`s edition of "Festival di Sanremo(1951)", with the song "ANGELO".
They live in Brescia with their two children: Jolanda (born in January 2004) and Leonardo (born in May 2006).Ambra made her TV debut at the age of 15, hosting "Non è La Rai" (1992, under the direction of Gianni Boncompagni.Her first album "T`appartengo" was released in Italian and Spanish (1994)," Te pertenezco", which was also a big success in South America.
She is a "Lesbian and gay rights activist".
A few years ago she was heavily criticized by the Catholic Church in Italy for posing crucified on a photo published in several magazines (1999).Although she was offered a billion lire (about US$ 500,000 at that time) to pose topless, she strongly refused to do so (1994).
She successfully hosted the 2007 International Venice Film Festival.She is really a polyhedric woman, much talented in many fields. She has won in 2007 the David di Donatello Awards as Best Supporting Actress for the movie "Saturno contro".
