Brandon Spencer Leo Call was born in Torrance, California. Brandon began his career at 2 ? after his Mother submitted his photo to a number of talent agencies. Brandon appeared in more than seventy commercials. He performed in a Las Vegas stage appearance as a pint sized Elvis impersonator when he was six years old.
Brandon was more recently known for his role of John Thomas (J.T.) Lambert on the popular hit comedy series `Step by Step/ABC.` The show wrapped up its final season in 1997-1998 on CBS. Brandon appeared in `Baywatch`s` premier movie, `Panic at Malibu Pier` in 1989. He won fame and recognition on `Baywatch`/NBC as the first actor to portray Hobie Buchannon in the show`s first season (1989-1990). The TV series was cancelled after one season. David Hasselhoff helped to keep the series from going out of production by getting backers and it went into syndication. Brandon was replaced with a younger actor-Jeremy Jackson.
His other credits include `For the Boys` (1991), `The Adventures of Ford Fairlane,` (1990), `Warlock` (1989), `Blind Fury` (1989), `The Gifted One, (1989/TV), `The Charmings,` (1987/TV series), `The Richest Cat in the World` (1986/TV), The Black Cauldron` (1985), `Jagged Edge` (1985) and the daytime soap `Santa Barbara` (1984) as Brandon DeMott Capwell (#2) (1985-1987).
`Thunder in Paradise` (1994) portraying Zach in the episode: `The M.A.J.O.R. & the Minor,` `St. Elsewhere` (1982) in the episode `The Idiot and the Odyssey,` `Life with Lucy` (1986) and `Magnum P.I.` (1980).
While leaving the set after a taping session for Step by Step (TV series) in September 1996, Call was attacked by an unknown gunman. It appears that this was a random attack, and the gunman did not know who he was attacking. Though he was shot in both arms, Call was not seriously injured, and he made a full recovery.[1]
He was in "Blind Fury" with Rutger Hauer, as Billy Deveraux.
Call resides in Poway, California. He is divorced and has one child.
