Carmen Jane is the first children and the only daughter of Robert Plant and Maureen Wilson. She was born on 21st October 1968.
In an interview for the People magazine (December 20 1976) Robert explains: "Carmen used to think she had two fathers—the one whose singing she heard through the speakers and the one on whose knee she was sitting. They (Carmen and Karac) love it when I come back to tell them tales."
On October 2007 Robert Plant admitted he regrets staying on tour throughout the 1970’s because he feels his daughter grew up without knowing who he was. Robert, 59, claimed his now 39 year old daughter, Carmen, once mistook him for a burglar after he came home from a particularly long tour: "What I recall for the first two years is my daughter not really knowing who I was and getting rather agitated when I came back off tour, as she thought I’d come to rob the house."
Carmen is married to Robert`s former bass player, Charlie Jones, and they have 3 children. Carmen teaches belly dancing.
