Carmit Bachar is a talented American dancer, who is best known for her success with the pop group, The Pussycat Dolls.
Born in L.A., Carmit is of Israeli, Dutch, Indonesian, and Chinese descent, and comes from a family full of entertainers. She has been around the world, competing as a rhythmic gymnast for a decade, and placed 5th in the Olympic trials in 1992. Carmit attended Hamilton Academy of Music in L.A. while she was competing on the National Team. At the academy, she studied music, dance, piano, and viola.
As a freelance dancer, Carmit has shared the stage with numorous pop/rock acts. In 1999, she was Ricky Martin’s “Livin’ La Vida Loca” woman. In 2000, she danced with No Doubt’s Gwen Stefani during “Bathwater” in No Doubt’s DVD Rock Steady Live. In 2004 she was a back-up dancer for Janet Jackson during the infamous Super Bowl Half-Time Show. She has also appeared in Beyonce’s music videos “Crazy in Love” and “Baby Boy”.
Through out this time, Carmit was working with Lee Cherry, Scarlett, and others to start the underground nightclub, Freedom, which became the occasional “Multi-Genre Cabaret”. As of 2006, Carmit is still co-producing the events at the nightclub.
Currently, Carmit is working to start a non-profit organization called, “Smile With Me”: “I want to have my own charity for children and adults who are born with a cleft palate. I was born with one and I want to educate and inspire people by saying that inner beauty is more important than looks.”

During her career competing on the National Team, she attended Los Angeles` renowned performing arts high school Hamilton Academy of Music, excelling in her training in music, dance, piano and viola.
Carmit`s creativity and passion for dance, music, performing and true artistry led her to another venture in 2001 that she co-founded called "The Zodiac Show," which began as an underground live performance event. Carmit has hosted, performed in and co-produced this refreshingly unique event for six years at some of Hollywood`s biggest venues, gaining the respect and admiration of many celebrities and creatives in the entertainment industry.
An avid philanthropist, Carmit is a Smile Ambassador for Operation Smile and is active with her own charity "Smile With Me" for the benefit of Operation Smile. Carmit was also named one of FHM`s Top 100 Sexiest Women in the World for 2008.
