Interviews from the Premiere of "Summer Catch" COREY PEARSON (Eric Van Leemer) You played baseball in college, but you weren`t a pitcher. How hard was it to transfer your skills to pitching? A lot harder than I thought. Every hitter thinks he can pitch, every pitcher thinks he can hit. And it`s rarely the case. What position did you play in college? I played 1st base. Why did you take this role? I went after this role with both feet and arms and everything because I really wanted to do this. I mean it`s a chance to play baseball again. I basically told them they had no choice but to take me. So, they accepted my offer - so to speak. I said I`ll dye my hair, I`ll do whatever you need me to do. You wore some very interesting outfits in the film. Is that your normal style of dress? No no no no no. We took Van Leemer (his character) to the nth degree because he`s supposed to represent that "image" that`s destroying pure sports. What`s next for you? "Going Greek" which is an indie comedy - sort of an "Animal House" meets "American Pie" sort of a frat thing. When is "Going Greek" coming out? It was just at the Hollywood Film Festival and there`s sort of doing a distribution thing now, so it`s not for sure. Probably Spring Break time.
