His children have every opportunity to speak to their father and have chosen not to. They have seen first hand what he is capable of and see that even now as he uses the excuses of missing his kids, can`t help but mention the gold that he is really after. Gold that does not belong to him. He and his family use smear campaigns to try and ruin Cynthia but their motivations are clear.
