American actress, Danica Lyn Stewart was born in Kennewick, Washington to John and Donna Stewart. In 2001, she graduated from Southridge High School in Kennewick, where she was a cheerleader and studied acting once a month. In 2003, Stewart joined the cast of the NBC soap opera Passions as the third actress to portray the role of Jessica Bennett. Stewart, a natural blonde, dyed her hair black for her role on Passions.

As a blonde, she briefly played Maxie Jones on the ABC soap opera General Hospital in 2002. She was chosen for the role of Roxanne "Rocky" Briggs in a WB pilot called "Home of the Brave", a show about a military man and his returning to his four children, however the pilot never aired. She stars as Zoe in NBC`s first online soap Coastal Dreams.
