Born and raised in New Orleans he holds a black belts in both Kung Fu and Kenpo along with many regional championship belt.

Dean got his start in the Céline Dion music video "(If There Was) Any Other Way". After graduating from Tulane University with a degree in Theatre, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. He has performed in such plays as Hamlet (Hamlet), Macbeth (MacDuff), Burn This (Burton), Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Brick) and a Streetcar Named Desire (Stanley). His television roles have had him guest starring alongside many recognizable stars including Colin Farrell, Lindsay Lohan, Eva Mendes but is is his work that he is most recognized for, working with Chuck Norris in "The Cutter" and having the starring role in "Air Marshal", "Shark Zone", and "Target of Opportunity".

Dean is married to former Miss Teen USA and Miss USA Brandi Sherwood who is currently one of Barker`s Beauty`s on The Price Is Right.
