|
Devin DeVasquez was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on June 25, 1963.
She grew up in and out of foster homes and struck out on her own at the tender age of 16. Devin was a shy and introverted child who daydreamed about being a model. After graduating early from high school, Devin was a college Freshman at LSU at 17. Playboy soon discovered the exotic beauty in the, “Girls of the SEC” pictorial in 1981. Working two part-time jobs to put herself through college, Devin decided to take Playboy up on the offer of a Playmate test. Although it took her two years to work up the nerve to pose fully nude, she decided to move to Chicago and test her professional modeling skills. She quickly became Playboy’s Miss June 1985. The Playboy title lead to various catalog modeling with companies like Sears, JC Penny and Montgomery Ward. She was signed by the prestigious Elite Modeling Agency and landed an audition for the hit TV show, “Star Search”. Star Search chose her out of hundreds of hopefuls that brought Devin to Los Angeles to compete for the grand prize of $100,000, which to her own surprise she won in 1986.
