Born and raised in Port Perry, Ontario, VanCamp has been performing as a dancer since the young age of three. At 12, she moved to Montreal after being accepted into the prestigious L`Ecole Superieure de Danse de Quebec, the official training program of Les Grands Ballet Canadiens. When her older sister, Katie, also a dancer, was cast as a ballerina in a film, VanCamp fell in lovewith acting while visiting the set. Since then, she has amassed both television and feature film credits. VanCamp`s television credits include her portrayal of young Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the miniseries Jackie O: A Life Story and was a series regular on The WB`s Glory Days. She also starred in the Sundance Film Festival hit Lost & Delirious and will be seen in the upcoming feature film No Good Deed with Samuel L. Jackson. Last summer, VanCamp completed filming A Different Loyalty with Sharon Stone and Rupert Everett. She stars as Jen Tyler Cauffield, Sharon Stone`s level-headed daughter in the drama set against the backdrop of Cold war espionage. Emily will next be seen on the big screen costarring with Naomi Watts, David Dorfman and Simon Baker in the much anticipated Dreamworks feature The Ring 2, directed by Hideo Nakata, set to be released in March 2005
