James Ransone (born 2 June 1979) is an American actor. He graduated from Carver Center for Arts and Technology in Towson, Maryland in 1997. He played Ziggy Sobotka in the second season of HBO`s The Wire, and Corporal Josh Ray Person in the Iraq war-based mini-series Generation Kill.
