James Michael "Jamie" Johnston (born July 7, 1989) is a Canadian actor. He is perhaps best known for his role as Peter Stone on the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation. Johnston was born in Toronto, Ontario and has English, Scottish and Irish ancestry. He began modeling at the age of nine, and went on to perform in commercials and theatre before winning his first role as the lead in the childrens` television series, Zixx: Level One. Johnston currently plays Peter Stone on Degrassi: The Next Generation. He has also recently starred in the series Wild Card and Zixx: Level One . He was a student at Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts, and has a wide range of interests, including soccer, snowboarding, skateboarding, cycling and playing the guitar. In 2007 Jamie went to Kenya with the organization "Free the Children" to build a school and filmed as a special for MTV. Jamie has made numerous appearances on ET Canada and ETalk. He has travelled extensively. He is also the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of a band called Canadian Incident.
