Raised as a true California girl, Jenilee Harrison grew up in Glendale. Active in the world of entertainment at an early age, Jenilee won the title of "Miss Young America", modeled on the cover of the Kellogg`s Corn Flakes box, and further sharpened her resume in real estate school at the age of 17.
Started as a cheerleader with the Los Angeles Rams NFL franchise from 1978-1980 before appearing on the TV Sitcom as a replacement for Chrissy Snow (Suzanne Somers) on Three`s Company during season 5. Jenilee`s role was created when Suzanne Somers left the show over a salary dispute. Jenilee played Cindy Snow, Chrissy`s klutzy farmgirl cousin. Unfortunately, due to the popularity of Somers in the role, Harrison was let go at the end of the season.
Harrison later portrayed Jamie Ewing Barnes on the hit TV drama Dallas. She played the role until 1986 when she decided to leave the evening soap opera. Her role as Jamie Ewing garnered her a Soap Opera Digest nomination for Best New Actress in a Prime Time Series.
In 1984, Harrison played a reluctant prostitute in the movie Tank alongside James Garner and C. Thomas Howell. In one memorable scene, she was spanked with a belt. In an apparent effort to re-energize her career, Harrison posed for a semi-nude pictorial in the June 1987 issue of Playboy Magazine. The rather tame layout had a negligible effect on her fortunes.
Harrison also guest-starred on That `70s Show in 1999.
As of 2005, Harrison is starring on infomercials for the Ultimate Chopper with Chef Tony. In her personal life, she is married to actress Cybill Shepherd`s ex-husband Bruce Oppenheim and is a stepmother to Cybill and Bruce`s children, Ariel Shepherd-Oppenheim and Zachariah Shepherd-Oppenheim.
