Never a top actor but a constant presence in Hollywood movies, he acted with some of the best actors in the business, including John Wayne, Joan Crawford, Rosalind Russell and Abbott and Costello (just to name a few). Albeit always the second lead or a minor role, his dashing dark looks and a smile that could melt away ice created a latin lover lore around him, so he was typecast as a Spanish man many times. His firts wife was actress Steffi Duna, and hi second wife was Lucille Ryman, a powerfull Hollywood agent and former Broadway actress who outlived him by 25 years.

 You have to burn the tape, ... You start over because there isn`t much to learn from that game. So we`re going to regroup tomorrow and go from there. There are two things you can do when you face a situation like this - give in or come back. We`ve got eight games left, and we`re not that bad. It`s giving us a taste of fall. It`ll just hurt `til the next shows come around next year. I`ll just have to work a little bit harder on some of the old prospects that I haven`t heard from in a while and everything, but, yeah, it`ll hurt definitely, Our defense played great, just like we expected. Offensively we did just what I expected as well. We made a ton of mistakes, but we did what we had to. Couldn`t we just run wire? We`re working on trying to get some regular testing done on our own, The combination of strong winds, heavy rain and darkness have made the going pretty tough on our crews, ... But they will continue to work into, and if necessary, through the night to try to get service back up. They had to go in and replace the pipe and the fix the gauge, ... So that took some time. It was a hit and run - boom, I worked for Knight Ridder for 18 years and I know the Detroit Free Press was part of the company`s pride back in the old days. Now it seems, viewed from the outside, that these papers are like cards in a deck: you shuffle them, you deal them, you fold them, and the meaning of them as an institution in the community seems to have been lost. | ||
