Everyone knows who Luis Manzano is due to the fact that he’s a child of two well-known celebrities, Edu Manzano and the Star for all Seasons. However, for the longest time, few were still confused on how he really looked like and what he does…

…Not until he decided to follow the footsteps of his parents and begin his journey in the world full of controversies and challenges, the showbiz!
His Life Story

Born on April 21, 1981, Luis Philippe Santos-Manzano, or popularly known as Lucky, has always dreamt to become a famous personality, not only to prove himself but also his family and other people that he can also do whatever stuffs his parents are good at.

Now that he’s grown up, he prefers to be called in his first name. Luis. During the earlier years, he started doing print ad modelling on different known clothing lines. It was actually a more conservative/boy next door image for Luis since he was just starting in the said industry.

What shocked most of the viewers, so as his parents was when he posed provocatively and revealing in one of the top women’s magazine, Cosmopolitan, after he was chosen as one of the sexiest bachelors in the country years ago. Eventually, his wholesome-type of guy image suddenly transformed into a more mature personality thus resulting to various commitments and projects not only in modelling but for hosting and acting as well.

However, what makes Luis a pride of his parents is that, he was able to pursue his studies in college even though he started doing his celebrity career. For all you know, he took up Hotel and Restaurant Management in College of Saint Benilde- De La Salle University. That might be a good reason why Luis is said to be a good cook.
Luis As a Video Jockey (VJ) and a Host

Luis Manzano is said to excel mainly in hosting, that is why ABS-CBN offered him a work as a video jock in MYX, a local music Channel affiliated to the said network. Without second thoughts, he accepted the offer and started to show off his talent and skills in the said program together with Heart Evangelista and Karel Marquez . Up to now, he is consistently good in what hes doing, as his comical side actually showed up on some of his spiels into the segments of the said music channel. He also did hosting jobs in Star Circle Quest and other talent shows. As a prize on his great talent, he was actually given an award as one of the Most Promising Host years ago.
Luis As an Actor

He began doing sudden exposures in some of ABS-CBN’S sitcoms where his dad was usually part of. It was at the show of Aga Muhlach , Bayani Agbayani and his dad where most of his extra publicity were shown. It was then, when the management of the network came to realize that Luis actually can act humorously. That’s when he started doing comic shows with some of the celebrity hunks like Piolo Pascual and Diether Ocampo , titled Bora.

As a dramatic actor, his talent really outshone when he was offered a leading man role together with Christian Bautista in Kampanerang Kuba, starred by Anne Curtis . In that show, he tended to prove the viewers, that he could also be serious in doing acting. His parents really were proud of what he achieved on that show and also during the short time of his existence in the showbiz world.
