 I want to play with [shortstop Miguel] Tejada for the next four years, ... I`d like to stay in Baltimore, but I know this is a business, too. There are lots of teams that would be interested. But I`m going to give the first chance to Baltimore. I don`t know what to say. It`s a tough situation, especially when you lose one of the best leadoff men right now. A lot of things have gone on this year and this is the biggest one. To lose Brian Roberts is like losing half the team. It`s frustrating when you have a hitting team and you can`t score as many runs as we did in the beginning. There`s been a lot of changes, a lot of new guys [since last year]. Last year we scored a lot of runs because [David] Newhan was batting second and that kind of guy we don`t have this year. For me, if they don`t talk to me before the season starts, I won`t talk to anybody then, ... I don`t want to get distracted talking about a contract. He`s one of the best leadoff hitters in baseball. He`s not wild. He was around the strike zone, ... It`s just that sometimes the umpire doesn`t give him what he wants. They came out ahead with that last contract, He`s not wild.
