 I feel for the sponsors (HSBC) because they put up a lot of money. This is the richest first prize in all of golf (one million pounds). He played great on the first nine holes. That`s good golf and you can`t control that, It`s a little bit disheartening that here we have the biggest (first) prize in the (golf) world and half the guys don`t turn up. Seeing Retief`s backside all day today was quite different. Obviously, he played great and he was holing all his putts. He then moves the tee in circles and in figure-eights. It all takes about 20 seconds.] If I did that in front of the TV cameras, everyone would have thought I was loony, ... So what I do is plot out where all the port-a-loos are. It`s a slap in the face to the sponsors. Obviously they (sponsors HSBC) have the best players available this week and for certain reasons they are not here. To the public eye, it doesn`t look good, I don`t think, I put on some new insoles in my shoes on Tuesday and they really hurt me. I`m struggling to walk around right now but my swing was okay. Every time I took a step, I felt pain. I have to see the physiotherapist … I think it`ll be fine for the rest of the week. He`s a world-class player and he showed that today. I was on the back foot with nine holes to play. He just played awesome. | ||
