Dated Ronald Reagan in the 40`s, when he ended his marriage to Jane Wyman, and right before he married Nancy Davis. Due to the fact Penny was much younger than Reagan, and that coupled with her strong religious beliefs the relationship did not last. Penny also replaced Dale Evans on her show while Dale was pregnant. They chose Penny because she was religious.
