Rafael Van Der Vaart Biography
Rafael van der Vaart (born February 11, 1983) is a Dutch footballer who plays for Spanish Primera Division side Real Madrid and plays for the Dutch national team. Van der Vaart was born to a Spanish mother (from Chiclana de la Frontera, Cádiz) and a Dutch father in Heemskerk, in North Holland. He has scored 13 goals in 57 caps for the national team and is a free kick specialist.

His previous clubs were Ajax and Hamburger SV and De Kennemers in Beverwijk, near his hometown of Heemskerk. Van der Vaart played for the Netherlands in Euro 2004, Euro 2008, and the 2006 World Cup. He is married to Sylvie Meis.
