We laid the challenge down to those guys and I`m proud of them. The first phone call I got offering a safe haven was from Larry Hays, and that meant a lot. When you have somebody step up like this administration, and this coaching staff, who puts you in a position where kids feel like `We`re going to be OK,` and you can see it on their on faces. It means a lot and will continue to mean a lot in a way that will probably be tough to be able to explain to people to people who don`t understand what we`ve gone through the last week and a half. I was hoping to have a night like this so we could get a feel for what we could be if we put it all together. We got a good feel. It`s still a red-alert situation. It`s hard to believe that in less than two weeks we`ve been able to relocate and get our student-athletes in class. I`m thankful that our university administration was proactive and has enabled us to continue our program. We play defense very well and transition well. The other thing we do well is taking the ball off opponent`s feet. Our team doesn`t shy away from that. People are still very cautious. There`s a lot of anxiety about how much more water we can take. The freshmen are the lights at the top of the tree. We have a really nice team that does a number of things very well. | ||
