A native of Southern California, Buckley earned an Economics degree from the University of California at San Diego. He spent a year and a half working as an economic consultant, then moved to LA to pursue an entertainment career.

"I remember calling my mom from my cubicle on, like, the second day and telling her `I need to resign,` " he recalls. I did it for a year and a half. I met a woman who told me I should give up that career and try acting, so I told my firm I was leaving to pursue my MBA, and a month later I had my first commercial on the air."

Robert loves football. He played two roles on MyNetworkTV`s prime time dramas: photographer Michael Bauer on Fashion House and Matthew Wakefield on American Heiress with a guest appearance on "The Ghost Whisperer." Buckley also appeared in several independent films, including When a Killer Calls, Petrified, Capturing Q, Archer House, Teenage Drama and Robot Battle.
