 They haven`t been able to maintain a strong message out of Iraq. That sucked a fair amount of public confidence out. It`s no one big thing, but these nips and cuts along the way have taken time away from the bigger focus they should be having. We still have work to do, ... I thought we got lackadaisical at some points. We had too many penalties. Maybe in the old days, Sully gets clutched and grabbed there and held down. Now he can spin around three times around three different guys. It gives a guy like that more freedom to move. If the owners are playing a high-stakes game of chicken, they`d be better off playing it with anybody else in the world besides hockey players. Because of all sports, we`re probably the most stubborn, pig-headed players. You have phantom income each year. No money is being put in your pocket, but you have to take some money out of your pocket to pay Uncle Sam because the tax is paid based on accretion. Republicans are in charge of the House, Senate and the White House, ... so why hasn`t more been done to control spending? If he was indicted, that would have been a huge problem for the president. He would have been gone. Obviously there are other people there, but no one is like Karl Rove. Frankly we`re a little concerned here about the popularity of the interest-only and no or low down payment loans. Everyone`s situation is different, and they may be a good fit for some. But these kinds of loans can, I think, lead to people biting off more than they can chew. That was huge of management. And give Paul a lot of credit to come to a team with not a lot of well-known guys. But he saw an opportunity to join an up- and-coming team and help build a winner. They could stop my shot wearing a bathing suit and holding a pair of pliers. | ||
