After her education in the play Munich (in 1996-1999) she played in different theatrical ensembles in Landshut, Dortmund, Düsseldorf and Berlin.She did TV experiences with a leading role in the series damned fallen in love (2001) as well as as a Maja in secondary damages (2004).
At the playing time in 2006/2007 Silke Bodenbender changes to the national theatre of Mannheim.
Silke Bodenbender is called in professional circles " German Sharon Stone " - on grounds of her remarkable resemblance to the US-American actress.
