Victoria was raised in a Bible-believing, piano-playing, gymnastic home with no TV. Her dad was a gym coach so she competed in gymnastics from age 5 to age l8. Was a cheerleader, and a homecoming queen. Attended Florida Bible College; received gymnastic scholarship to Furman Univ., attended Auburn Univ. one year and ended up in Hollywood, California via summer-stock in Alabama, where she met Johnny Crawford (of "The Rifleman" (1958) fame). Crawford put her in his night club act, and later sent her a one-way ticket to the show-biz capital. Supporting herself as a cigarette girl and as a typist at the American Cancer Society, and waitress at a retirement hotel, she performed stand up comedy for 2 years until _The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson_ (1962) put her act (which consisted of her doing a handstand while reciting poetry) on national TV. Following her 22 appearances with Johnny, she starred in many movies and TV shows, most notably "Saturday Night Live" (1975). In l99l she re-united with her high school sweetheart, married him, and moved to Florida where he`s a police helicopter pilot. As a mother of two, homemaking is her priority now, but she`s always available to perform ...if the price is right! She just recorded a children`s album called "Ukelele Lady" by Choo Choo Records, available in record stores now. She`s compiling an album of her original songs, i.e. "I Am Not A Bimbo", and Where Do You Draw the Line Between Love and Adultery?", to sell on the Internet. Recently she has guest-starred on sitcoms such as The Naked Truth (1992) and "The 700 Club" (1966).

Quotes I always wanted to be on a sitcom. Now, I don`t mind making fun of those preachers who steal money from people, they kind of deserve it. They`re desperately searching for meaning in their lives but they will not crack the Bible open. It doesn`t make your life stop being fun to be a Christian. Maybe entertainment is not supposed to be reality. Religion is man`s attempt to bind himself back to a relationship with God. I stayed a virgin until I was 23. I didn`t do drugs or drink or smoke. Maybe I`ll learn how, but the only thing I can do is turn down parts that would hurt my conscience. Because I hate fake people and I always think I`m never fake. I`ve never been in the music industry, only acting. I think the reason they cast me as the good girls is because they couldn`t find any in Hollywood. That`s pretty much why I went into show business because I wanted to have a guitar and sing unaccompanied, that was like my fantasy of the perfect life. I think the Bible is God`s gift of salvation that He gave me because I trusted in Him when I was six years old. It was a gift and I didn`t earn it. Movies are nice, but there are very few roles for women and most of them are sluts or something. I wasn`t really qualified to be on Saturday Night Live - I`m not like an impressionist or anything. I think they`re afraid to confront the truth so they find all these stupid false religions, false gives them a good feeling or something. There was a lot of Southern Baptist preachers and some yelling ones but mostly we had a pastor who didn`t scream and I found a lot of comfort and joy and peace as a child hearing the Bible. Sometimes I like to vent. I cried when I heard Johnny Carson died. Maybe if I could ever be a successful comedian then I could be an example that Christians can also have fun. I thought it was a really good contrast to have a really sweet, sincere, church girl sitting next to the church lady who seemed kind of, you know, over the top. But if you believe in Christ and that your main goal with your life is supposed to be to honor Him and do His will, then you don`t have as much pressure as someone who bases all their happiness on whether they`re a movie star. I`ve had a lot of struggles and I would be in a lot of trouble, I think, if I wasn`t a Christian. I remember going to church about four times a week. I liked it a lot. I think abortion is murder. I always dreamed of being Maria in The Sound of Music. So finally I came up with a thing that felt really pure, and I`m Christian, so when I hear about death I have a lot of hope because I believe in Jesus and life after death, and John 3:16. Are Christians too stupid that we can`t write a script, we can`t film a movie OR we don`t know how to act? The bottom line of Hollywood is money. I got a gymnastics scholarship to college, fell in love with my true love of my whole life - who I`m married to now - and he was a virgin too. It was very romantic. I was the only Christian on the cast, but that was cool because we all respected each others talent and mostly they respected me a lot even though I was the only Christian. When you go on an audition it`s very frightening. It was the best job I ever had.
