Connie Hamzy Biography

She is mentioned in Grand Funk Railroad`s song We`re an American Band ("Sweet, sweet Connie, doin` her act/ She had the whole show and that`s a natural fact.") She is widely acknowledged to have given oral sex to many members of many bands that have traveled through Little Rock. Her groupie escapades were detailed in a Cosmopolitan (magazine) profile in 1974, and in 1992 she wrote a tell-all article for Penthouse.

Hey I knew Connie when I lived in Little Rock back in the 70`s. She knew a few of us gay guys, she would not judge us or we her. She was smart, fun, pretty and yes, sweet!

I live in Little Rock and speak with Connie regularly. She has been a customer of mine in a financial environment and in a local bar. We became friends. She threw me a wedding shower, made all of my bird seed bags for my wedding, attended my wedding reception, and made the cutest bib for my son before he was born in 2005. Connie is a very talented seamstress believe it or not. I have a college degree, so I am educated and have a great career. I would like for people to know that Connie is a very caring person if you take the chance to get to know her. If you enjoy people, I would talk with Connie if you get the chance. She does have some very interesting stories! I don`t know who you are Paula, but who are you to judge her? Nobody is perfect and what is OK for some, may not be for others. Don`t judge a book from it`s cover, because I feel fortunate to know Connie and am glad to call her my friend. She has just led a different life than most of us. Who can judge Connie so harshly when we have had presidents, some elected twice, who have cheated on their wives, lied about it, gotten caught, and we still stand and applaud them today. So you might want to think about which one is better - the one who lies about who they are, or the one who admits who they are as a person and makes no apologies. I am sure everyone reading this knows people who have wanted to meet or be with some of the men Connie has been with - maybe even you... Connie just had the guts to do what she wanted to and is not ashamed for it. I am not her creator or judge, I am just somebody who likes people for who they are and their individuality. Just because I might not agree with everything Connie has done in her life, does not mean that I can not value her as a person and appreciate her friendship. I will always take up for Connie, and am proud to do so.
