I would like to correct the trivia. He didn`t name "lots of names" to the House Unamerican Activities Committee. When Robert Taylor testified before HUAC (J. Parnell Thomas) on October 22, 1947, the first name he gave was Lowell Mellet, who was an assistant to President Roosevelt and agent of Office of War Information, and beside Louis B. Mayer forced Taylor to make the film Song of Rusia. Later he mentioned as disruptive elements within guild meetings Karen Morley, Howard Da Silva and Lester Cole.
