||
|
Born as an only child to a Jewish family.
Made her Broadway debut with Julie Newmar in "L`il Abner" in 1954. In 1957, she made her silver screen debut in"God`s Little Acre". Tina left a role in a Broadway musical to portray a movie star named Ginger Grant on the television series "Gilligan`s Island" in 1964. Tina was unhappy with the role as she feared it would type-cast her even though it made her an icon around the world and still is to this day. Since her famous role on Gilligan`s Island, Tina has appeared occasionally on TV. She made an appearance on "Roseanne" and "Married with Children". Tina did have a semi-regular role on the evening soap opera "Dallas". |
