David James Archuleta (born December 28, 1991 in Miami, Florida) is currently a contestant in the Top 20 on American Idol`s seventh season. He auditioned in San Diego. At the age of 12, Archuleta won the Junior Singers competition on Star Search. David is currently living in Murray, Utah and is a student at Murray High School.
