Dougray Scott (born 25 November 1965) is a Scottish actor. Scott was born Stephen Dougray Scott in Glenrothes, Fife, the son of Elma, a nurse, and Alan Scott, an actor and salesperson. Stephen attended Auchmuty High School. He adapted his stage name from the surname of his French grandmother, "Dougray". Scott enrolled in a foundation course in drama and then went on to attend the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff (1984-87). He earned the college`s 1987 Most Promising Drama Student award.

In April 2000, Scott married Casting Director Sarah Trevis, they have a set of twins. In 2005, the couple divorced. On 8 June 2007, Scott married actress Claire Forlani in Italy. He is an avid supporter of Hibernian F.C. He is a celebrity supporter of the British Red Cross.
