Short Biography

Okonedo, who is Black and Jewish, was born in London. Her mother is Jewish, and her father is Nigerian. Her father left the family a few years after her birth, and Okonedo was raised in poverty by her single mother.

Okonedo has a daughter, Aoife, from her previous relationship with Irish film editor Eoin Martin
