Vince Gilligan (born February 10, 1967 in Richmond, Virginia) is an American writer, director and producer. He is the creator of the television series Breaking Bad. He has also worked on The X-Files and The Lone Gunmen. He is a graduate of the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Recent works include Hancock, starring Will Smith.
