Short Biography

Wafah Dufour (nee Wafah Binladin) born in Los Angeles, California) is an American singer-songwriter, socialite and model (size 5 ft 5 in / 1.65 m). Her father, Yeslam bin Ladin (half brother of Osama bin Laden), is Saudi Arabian (father of Yemeni origin and mother of Iranian origin) and her mother, Carmen bin Ladin, is of Swiss father and Iranian mother from a noble family (mothers name: Mirdoth/Sheybani). She is one of over 300 nieces and nephews of Osama bin Laden. She had Swiss nationality by his mother and American nationality by birth. Wafah Dufour spent the early part of her life in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia but later moved to Geneva, Switzerland with her parents and two little sisters Najia and Noor (20 years old). In 1988, her parents separated and finally divorced in January 2006. Her father and his family have reportedly not spoken to either her or her two little sisters since she was 15 years old. She changed her last name to her mother`s maiden name, Dufour.

She earned a law degree from Geneva University and a masters degree from Columbia Law School in New York, United States. She speaks French, English, Persian but doesn`t speak Arabic. In 2006, Dufour appeared undressed in a popular U.S. men`s magazine GQ. In early 2006, publisher Judith Regan signed Dufour to appear in a reality television show which will follow her battle for chart success in a fly-on-the-wall documentary. But the September 11th Family Association has demanded the show be axed before its television debut. At present she is recording her first album and lives in London from 2007 after years in New-York. The model and musician was scheduled to play at the Dead Or Alive club night at the Bullet Bar in London on February 26, but the performance was cancelled. Meanwhile, Dufour is set to collaborate with Atlanta rockers Black Lips soon.
