I kept telling myself it`s never too late to start playing well. I`m glad I`m turning it around.

I hope I have that momentum going but this course is different from Mission Hills that it`s going to require so many more different game plans, ... I`m glad this is a three-day event, because I have an extra day to rest and recuperate before I begin again, so it will definitely be a plus.

I have had a few chances to play with Michelle, ... I think she is a sweet girl. She is a wonderful player, very strong and got great skills. But to me she is still a 16-year-old. When she talks to me she is like a little sister. We`ll have fun playing together.

I`m looking forward to this year and I`m happy and relieved to get the first round out of the way. Shooting a first score of 66, I`m very happy. I had a little butterflies in my stomach starting off the round. That is why I`m relieved.

[on what`s next for her character Sharon] "It`s funny because I was on the plane with Ron Moore on the way here, and I was like "What do you see for my character?" And he was kind of lost, and I was like, "It`s kind of funny because I`m sort of lost. I was sort of looking at my character to maybe give me some ideas." And he`s like, "So the responsibility lies on me to help shape your life?" I`m like, "Yeah, pretty much!" Then he`s like, "Well, I was drawing on the actress." And I`m like, "Oh, so you`re looking to me to provide you with a storyline.""

[on fan art] "I just saw a montage that they put together to music, and it was the whole Tyrol and Boomer storyline. And it was all these clips that they put together, and someone sent it to me for my interest. And I watched the thing, and by the end, I was all moved. I was like, "I want them to be together!" [laughs] "They`re so great!" Then I was like, "But if I think about it, that was doomed.""

I`m very excited to be in the position that I`m in, ... Obviously, I had a sour finish last year but, you know, I`m leading again, and I hope to have a different story at the end of the tournament.

I`m feeling good, ... For the last month or so I`ve been working very hard. I kept telling myself it`s never too late to play well again, and I wanted to finish the season well. I`m glad that it`s turning around.

You know what, I`m going make a movie one day and make like 25 million dollars.

She brings that much more interest to the game.

I was waiting for this day for the past six weeks, really working hard on my game and getting my strength back and waiting for that first day of the new season. And I had a little butterflies in my stomach this season starting off the round.

Going into today`s round, I knew I would have to have my `A` game. She was top class but I`m still pretty happy.

[on playing two characters on Battlestar Galactica] "There was a lot of pressure that I felt, especially since the second episode was very heavy on the two characters right away. And I remember the director was reiterating some of the points of the show. And I was sitting there thinking, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, but why are you saying these things?" Because they`re obvious points. Then I realized in that moment she was making sure that she had the points right, and then I knew the safety net was gone. And then I thought that was very scary at that point."
