I have been acting since I was in high school. Perhaps even before then if you count all the times I "acted" like I was sick in grade school to get out of going, (those were some of my best performances). Happily, I have worked fairly consistently, however, the audition process (necessary to getting work) has never been one that I have enjoyed. My shyness can sometimes make me quite nervous. Surmounting that obstacle again and again has in itself made getting work slightly less than "easy".

I think that I am pretty soulful and I share that with Teyla. I wish I could kick ass the way she does but, I`m a lover not a fighter. Seriously there are many little nuances that I share with Teyla, I have to in order to bring her to life. One of the things that separates her from the other team members is that she is human and yet she is unearthly. Within her own people her telepathic abilities set her apart. She doesn`t quite fit in. The not quite fitting in thing is familiar to me. I think that it has made me a stronger person in the same way it has formed Teyla.
