When she died in 1988, her estate was worth in excess of $500 million, the sole heir to the estate of her father Aristotle Onassis, who died in 1975. She left the bulk of her estate to her daughter Athina Roussel, as well as $1,420,000 per year for life to her fourth husband Thierry Roussel.
