Robert Rodriguez Kills His Son On-Screen
Movie director Robert Rodriguez decided to kill off his real life son on screen to "horrify the audience" - a decision that left him traumatized. The Desperado director had to think "long and hard" before filming the gruesome demise of his son, Rebel Rodriguez, in his recent horror movie Grindhouse.
Rodriguez says, "I`d worked with my son, Rebel, before on The Adventures Of Sharkboy And Lavagirl, and we did shoot a version where he survives. But then I couldn`t stop wondering how it would feel to do something really horrific...
