Herman Warden Lay (1909 – 1982) was an American businessman who was involved in potato chip manufacturing with his eponymous brand of Lay's potato chips. He started H.W. Lay Co., Inc., now part of the Frito-Lay corporation, a subsidiary of PepsiCo.

Jay Bocook is a professional composer and arranger, and also the Director of Athletic Bands at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. He was born in Clearwater, Florida and received a Bachelor of Music degree from Furman University, and went on to receive a Master of Music degree from Northeast Louisiana University. He is an alumnus of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, the national men's music fraternity. Bocook became a Sinfonian at Furman University, joining the Gamma Eta chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia in 1972. He was also inducted into the Theta Lambda chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota as a National Arts Associate in 2006.
John Bloomfield was born in Winchester, Kentucky. He attended Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, where he graduated magna cum laude. After he earned a Masters Degree in piano performance from the Manhattan School of Music, Mr. Bloomfield worked closely with both Dorothy Taubman and Edna Golandsky for many years.
