The theatrical trailer was released with Ready on 3 June 2011. The film released on 22 July 2011, and received extremely good response worldwide. It turned out to be a Blockbuster at the box office, and became one of the highest grossing movies of 2011.

This is the first film without the participation of Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino and the first film without the distribution of Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures and Miramax Films.
