Nina Mary Benita Douglas-Hamilton, Duchess of Hamilton (née Nina Mary Benita Poore; 13 May 1878 – 12 January 1951), was a British peeress and animal activist.

Based in Bratislava with labrador and a senegal parrot, also in Brussels and mostly traveling the globe to participate on various projects.
Jane Tipson was a conservationist and animal rights activist, who was murdered in the Caribbean island nation Saint Lucia in 2003. It is alleged that she was victim of a contract killing for her work against the construction of dolphinarium tourist attractions by the Dolphin Fantaseas group, and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society has offered a $25,000 reward for information leading to her killer being brought to justice. They also alleged that Saint Lucia police contaminated the crime scene, and were treating the investigation as a low priority. Tipson was stopped on a private road that led to her home, and shot at close range in the back of her neck. Police were not discounting an anti-environmentalism motive.
Keith Mann is a British animal rights campaigner and writer, alleged by police in 2005 to be at the top of the Animal Liberation Front (ALF) pyramid. He is the author of From Dusk 'til Dawn: An Insider's View of the Growth of the Animal Liberation Movement (2007). Viewed as a cause célèbre within the global animal rights movement, he has acted as a spokesman for the ALF, attracting the support of celebrities such as Carla Lane and Celia Hammond. He was the subject in 2006 of a Channel 4 documentary by Yousaf Ali Khan, Angels of Mercy?.
