Kirsten Dunst has revealed she "wanted to smack" filmmaker Lars von Trier after he told reporters at a press conference he was "a Nazi" and could understand Hitler.
The Danish filmmaker was declared "persona non grata" by Cannes Film Festival organisers earlier this month over comments he made at an event to promote his new film Melancholia - in which Kirsten plays newlywed Justine.
