McVicar, Roger Daltrey's fourth studio album, Peaking at #22 in the UK and is also the soundtrack album of McVicar, the film of the same name. The film was a bio-pic of English bank robber John McVicar, was produced by Daltrey and also featured him in the starring role. Because all members of The Who played on the album, it is often considered to be an unrecognized Who album although there was no participation by the band in the songwriting. And this was Roger Daltrey's highest charting non-Who project, and for a mainly one reason: it sounds a lot like The Who, On his three previous solo albums, Daltrey had gone out of his way to avoid the hard rock sound of The Who. But here, using a set of backup musicians that included all the other members of the group only this time having Kenney Jones on drums.
