1976: After dropping out of the Royal Academy of Music (abandoning early ambitions to become a classical flute player) Lennox met Dave Stewart and formed the short-lived band The Tourists.
1977-1980: Lennox performed as lead singer of The Tourists before forming synthpop duo The Eurythmics with felow band member Dave Stewart.
1983: The Eurythmics' second album, Sweet Dreams are Made of This, resulted in global success.
